What Our Pest Control Visits Cover

Last updated: October 2026

Maine Pest Pros provides pest inspections and control work described in the estimate or service agreement you accept. The agreed work may include inspection, treatment, and practical instructions for preparing the property or reducing conditions that attract pests.

We will identify the target pest, treatment area, and any limits we know about before work begins. Services do not include repairs, construction, cleaning, removal of stored belongings, wildlife control, or treatment of pests and areas not listed in the agreement unless we approve them separately in writing.

Our licensed applicators follow applicable Maine pesticide licensing requirements under 22 M.R.S. Chapter 262 and Maine Board of Pesticides Control rules, 01-026 C.M.R.

Pesticide products must be registered and used according to their labels, consistent with FIFRA and EPA requirements. We also follow relevant OSHA hazard-communication requirements and applicable rules for pesticide waste. Public health guidance from the Maine CDC may inform safety information we share.

Setting, Changing, or Canceling a Visit

Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another method we make available. We will confirm the visit timing and any preparation instructions with you.

Please provide access to the agreed treatment areas and tell us about relevant conditions, including pets, occupants, or access restrictions. If you need to cancel or change an appointment, contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss another time.

Any cancellation charge or other appointment condition will apply only if it was disclosed in your accepted estimate or agreement.

If weather, safety concerns, access problems, or other circumstances prevent the planned work, we may contact you to reschedule. We will not add treatment, expand the service area, or perform materially different work without your approval.

A change to the scope may affect the quoted price or timing; we will explain the change and obtain your agreement before proceeding. A schedule confirmation is not approval for work beyond the service already agreed.

Estimates, Approved Work, and Payment

An estimate describes the work we propose, the property or treatment areas covered, and the price or pricing basis provided for that work. It is based on the information available at the time and may need revision if inspection reveals different conditions or you request a change.

We will explain a proposed adjustment and obtain your approval before doing work outside the accepted scope. Do not rely on a verbal discussion as approval for an unlisted service unless we confirm it.

Payment is due according to the timing and method stated in your accepted estimate or service agreement. Applicable taxes or other charges will be shown where required.

If the documents do not state a payment date, please contact us to confirm it before service. You are responsible for paying the agreed amount for authorized work, subject to any rights you have under applicable law.

Questions about an invoice or estimate should be raised promptly so we can review the details with you.

What to Expect After Treatment

Any workmanship warranty, retreatment commitment, or other service guarantee applies only when it is stated in writing in your estimate or service agreement. The written terms will identify what work is covered, the coverage period, and any steps needed to request follow-up service. Because no warranty duration or coverage terms are established by these general terms, please review your service documents or contact us before booking if you need clarification.

Pest activity can be affected by entry points, sanitation, moisture, nearby conditions, and other factors outside the treatment itself. Follow the preparation and prevention instructions we provide and let us know if the agreed service does not address the concern described in your documents.

Coverage may not apply to a different pest, untreated area, new infestation, or condition excluded by the written agreement. Nothing in this section changes rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Responsibility for Service and Property Conditions

To the extent permitted by law, Maine Pest Pros is responsible for performing the work you approved with reasonable care and in accordance with applicable requirements. Any limit on our liability will not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where such a limit is prohibited by law.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, concealed conditions, or pest activity outside the agreed treatment scope, unless caused by our own failure to meet a legal duty. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Pesticide use must follow product labeling and applicable federal and Maine requirements, including FIFRA, 22 M.R.S. Chapter 262, and 01-026 C.M.R.

We follow relevant EPA registration and labeling rules and OSHA hazard-communication standards. Applicable pesticide waste is handled under relevant hazardous-waste requirements, including RCRA, and Maine rules. Please follow treatment instructions and raise safety concerns with us promptly.

Questions About These Service Terms

For questions about these terms, an estimate, or an agreed service, contact Maine Pest Pros at (855) 681-0299 or info@mainepestpros.top. You may also write to 1 City Center, Suite 300, Portland, ME, United States.

Include your name and any appointment or estimate details that will help us respond. These contact details are for service and terms questions; do not use email to report an immediate emergency.

We may revise these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted where these terms are provided, with a revised effective date when appropriate.

Changes apply prospectively and do not alter an existing written agreement unless you and Maine Pest Pros agree to that change or the law allows it. The terms in effect when you approve a service govern that work, subject to any later written amendment.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law.

Service Expert at Maine Pest Pros

I grew up near Portland and started in pest control learning how older homes, stone foundations, and damp coastal conditions can invite rodents and insects indoors. I built this business to give Maine homeowners practical explanations and treatment plans that account for our long winters and busy pest seasons.
